How to fix cPanel interface errors after a browser update

Repair broken menus, missing icons, and display glitches in cPanel.

When cPanel looks broken after a browser update, the usual causes are stale cached assets, blocked JavaScript, or extension conflicts.

Common symptoms

  • Menus do not open
  • Icons are missing or distorted
  • The page loads with broken layout or blank widgets

Troubleshooting steps

  1. Open cPanel in a private browsing window. If the issue disappears, clear the browser cache and cookies.
  2. Disable ad blockers, script blockers, privacy filters, and password managers temporarily to identify a conflicting extension.
  3. Confirm JavaScript is enabled and that the browser is fully up to date.
  4. Test another modern browser. If the issue only affects one browser, the problem is almost always local to that browser profile.
  5. If multiple users see the same issue, capture a screenshot and report the affected page path.

Additional notes

  • Broken layout after updates is usually cache-related and resolves quickly after asset refresh.
  • Do not restore old cached pages from browser sync while troubleshooting.

When to contact support

Contact support if the issue occurs in multiple browsers and multiple networks.
